2019 Diocesan Convention

The diocesan deacons are hosting Trunk or Treat at our new home in Norristown.  Food trucks, candy, music and more. Because of the impending weather, we are bringing the fun inside to St. Johns' parish hall.  Please enter at 528 Church Street, Norristown. Parking is available in the lot next to the entrance. 

 

Friday, 11/1

All of these events occur at The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral, 23 S. 38th Street, Philadelphia.  Livestreaming of the service will begin at 7 p.m.  Shuttle service will run on a continuous loop from 30th Street Station to the Cathedral and back from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Look for the diocesan seal and name.

 

  • 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. - Clergy will meet with the Bishop at the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral.

 

  • 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. - Budget discussion in the Liem Azar Cathedral Center. This is the 11th budget discussion this year. This forum is an opportunity for people to ask questions or seek clarity on the budget. ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. 

 

  • 5:30 p.m. - Vesting for Clergy for the Service of Holy Eucharist on Friday evening is white stole. Vesting willl take place in the Early Learning Center of the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral. (Lower level of building)

 

  • 6:30 p.m. - Opening Eucharist in the church.  ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. 

 

Saturday, 11/2

Opening prayers begin at 8:30 a.m.  Convention is slated to end at 3:30 p.m.   The entire event takes place at The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral, 23 S. 38th Street, Philadelphia. Parking is available across the entrance from the church, at 39th and Market Streets (LAZ Parking.) Shuttle service will run on a continuous loop starting from 7 a.m to 5 p.m. between 30th Street Station and the Cathedral. Look for the diocesan seal and name.
